The original end of track of the Metropolitan 6th Ave El in 1878 was at Morris St on Trinity Place, as shown in this period stereo-view looking North to the Rector St steam locomotive service facility. One of the classic Metropolitan El cars is here along with a several wheel sets that may have been hoisted up to the structure using the derrick in the foreground.
